Daily Pet Log is a daily log and a health record at the same time. It answers the question people in a house with animals actually ask each other — did somebody already do this? — and it keeps the answer long enough to be worth something at the vet.

Most of what is unusual about this app comes from taking seriously where it gets used.

outdoorsOne hand on a leash, the screen washed out by low sun or invisible in the dark. Logging a walk takes two taps and a large target, and the dark mode is a designed surface rather than an inversion.

the kitchenFast repeat logging, often by the second person to walk in. What has already happened today is readable without tapping anything — and never by color alone, so it still reads if you cannot tell red from green.

waiting roomReading, not logging, and usually a bit stressed. Weights, doses and dates are set in a monospaced face so a column of them scans at a glance, and the phone can be handed straight to a vet tech.

The daily things
Walks, meals, water, treats, pee and poop, play, training, grooming, rest. Nineteen kinds of entry to begin with, and you can add your own.

Food and medication
What each animal eats, how much, and when. Medications with doses and reminders, so a missed one is visible rather than remembered.

The health record
Weights over time, vet visits, and photos attached to the entry they belong to. The part that is tedious to keep and invaluable to have.

A household, not an account
Everyone who looks after the animals shares one log. A partner, a housemate, a dog walker. Each entry is credited to whoever made it.

Somebody minding the animals for two weeks gets the last ninety days and the daily routine — not the medical history, and not the billing.

An export from Dog Log imports directly, with every entry kept and nothing flattened. You do not start from an empty screen.
Ask an assistant about it
Daily Pet Log can be connected to an AI assistant such as Claude, so you can ask “how many times did Pudding go out yesterday?” or log a walk by saying so.
It is off until you turn it on, it asks before it is granted anything, and you can withdraw it at any time from inside the app. An assistant connected by a pet sitter sees exactly what the pet sitter sees and no more — the limits are enforced on our server, not politely requested of the assistant.
What we do with your data
The short version: it is yours, it is not for sale, and there is no advertising or tracking in the app. There is no analytics SDK — we do not know which screens you open.
The long version is the privacy policy, which is written to be read rather than to be survived.
